Hi,

Sometimes when I receive message (SMS, hangout, viber), there is no sound notification and don't turn on notification led and only when I start some of these applications I can see that someone send me a message.

Any idea how to fix it.

Yes,if you have stamina mode enabled either disable stamina or whitelist the apps.

I have tried this and i still have problems receiving notifications for incoming SMS messages. Sometimes i don't even get a badge over the icon. I use the stock SMS app.

In the default SMS app? Can you check if the same occurs in safe mode?

Yes, in the default SMS app. I also have this problem when receiving calls. I'll try safe mode and report back.

After some testing the only time i could not get this issue to surface is when i used the phone in Safe Mode and the Messaging app (the default and only one i use) is whitelisted in Stamina Mode.This does not necessarily mean that this issue does not take place under these conditions because the problem appears ramdomly. Sometimes the notification works fine for weeks in a row.

The problem appears when the phone is in Safe Mode and the SMS app is not whitelisted also when the phone is in Not-SafeMode regardles if the app is whitelisted or not.

The Phone app (the default and only one) also has this issue and it usually takes place at the same time. However the Phone bug did not surface in the last test so these two could be tied together.

HI, I have the exact same problem, i.e. randomly I do or do not get notification of SMS messages. My messaging program is whitelisted in Stamina Mode. This issue started when I updated to the latest Android version 4.4.2. Never had it before then. My model # is D2004 and build # is 20.1.A.2.14. Any help would be appreciated, because I literally don't know when I have messages sometimes (unless I go into the messaging program and check myself). Thanks!

But has any one of you here have tried clearing the Cache memory of your messaging app. It worked for me.

Go to Settings>Applications>All
select messaging and clear only cache. Don't clear anything else. See if this works.

I'm new here, I have a problem with my E1
I get a tone for everything except texts.I have tried the above tips (thanks) for the OP but they didn't work in my case. I have had the phone around 3 months and in that time I have reset the phone twice, when reset I get a tone when I receive a text but stops within a day or so
Any ideas please?
