update

I think this problem come from Sony defect, not from third party app.

I test with 2 pattern; normal mode & safe mode

1 normal mode; use Sony' phone call function

- when calling by normal phone calling: its microphone works well.

- then, i switch to use speakerphone, it also works well.

- but, when i switch back to normal phonecalling, its microphone doesn't work.

-then, i switch back to speakerphone, microphone works properly.

2 safe mode; use Sony' phone call function

I tried with same pattern and result is the same way of the normal mode.

So, there is something wrong with Sony firmware about controlling between its 2 microphone.

So dissappointed

Hi everybody!

Some people say that in order to solve the proplem of two microphones not working properly one should turn off the "OK Google" function in the Google Now aplication. I have it turned off and experience no problems. Hope it helps. )

Alex

Have a brand new sony xperia z5 but the microphone only works when loud speaker is on. This means I can have no private calls and can't have proper conversations in any noisy situation. the mic on my video is u/s and "ok google" also is defunct. i bought through virgin who, when i returned it for repair, that as there were two small marks on phone it wasn't covered by warrenty and will fix for £96!!! Having looked at hundreds of comnents on line think they would have trouble fixing something that sony have known about for years and have been unable or unwilling to fix? so brand new useless phone and no clue how to fix, why can i not have my money back? anyone else taken legal advice?

Hi there. I'm experiencing the same problem with my phone. Only had it in May as an upgrade would you believe. Within a month the speaker went. Contacted my provider as paying for the phone monthly. Was told to do a factory reset which I did. It worked for a couple of weeks then went again. This has happened 3 times now and they want me to send it back to be repaired. Given the fact it's not fit for purpose and that they say it could take a week or two to repair thus leaving me without a phone as I have to return it to them, I am visiting the store in the next few days for a refund. By the way the Bluetooth link for the car only worked for an hour before that stopped working as well. Never had these problems with my blackberry!!!!!
