my phone can't update through pc companion

I'm trying to update my XPERIA E1 DUAL TV using USB and PC Sony Companion. It didn't work. Now I'm trying to repair my phone but I've notice there is XPERIA E1 DUAL option in the Device Driver Support for choosen. Any ideas?

Just click on support zone,software repair and follow the steps provided.

That is what I just did. But there is no XPERIA E1 DUAL in the list... Only XPERIA E1.

You installed PC Companion and you are not getting Xperia E1 dual as the device name at the top? Then why don't you update via the update center application from your phone itself. Is it not available for you?

The UPDATE CENTER in my phone leads me to www.sonymobile.com/update (and the message Computer nedded) , which means "PC SONY COMPANION" using USB.

In the SONY PC COMPANION my phone is not recognized directly. So, I was trying to repair but there is NO driver for XPERIA E1 DUAL TV... only there is the option to XPERIA E1.

Have you tried these option:

1.Enable developer options.

2. Check USB debugging

3. Go to Xperia Connectivity in the setting mode

4.Choose MTP (Media Transfer Mode) in the USB connection mode

and try to run your PC companion again

One more thing... configurations > about phone > diagnostics... always broke down (message: diagnostic has stopped.)

To enable usb debugging,you have to enable developer options.Go to settings-about phone-tap on build number several times.

Nothing works and when I try to repair... there is no XPERIA E1 DUAL in the options available. If I try with XPERIA E DUAL... I will lost anything?

Run PC companion in compatibility mode with windows 7.

What the most frustrating is looking for a device for my phone in repair options... and it is not there.

There is no option for XPERIA E1 DUAL.. in SONY PC COMPANION repair options.

PC companion does not have devices,it will recognise your own device.

I mean... using the REPAIR option, when you need to choose your DEVICE (your phone/ tablet model) THERE IS NO option for my device, only XPERIA E1.

XPERIA E1 DUAL is not there.

1. Ensure you use the original cable data USB (without hub)

2. What OS did you use (XP, 7, Mac)? because im using XP and its working

3. Try another computer

4.Go to the service center in your area if it doesn't work

I'm using orinal USB cable, my SO is Windows 7.

I've tried to contact local support by email and the answer... well, to short cut: they tell me there is an update available...

Thank you Alex, there is many other models with two options... single chip and dual. If the firmware is the same, why they dont post: XPERIA E1/ E1 DUAL ? But I'll try that.

Strange,I think you are referring to Sony update service and not PC companion.
