Playlists and shortcuts lost after restart

1.i am not able to save the playlist in the walkman app. After reboot the playlist just vanishes.

2.Also with the 4.2.2 update, if have have any shortcut of an app installed in the internal memory on the homescreen , it vanishes after reboot.

Any way to get them corrected ?

That sounds very strange. Have you installed any task manager, cache cleaner or similar in your phone?

I tried this here in the 4.2.2 update but i can't replicate these problems.

It also happens for me. Playlists, SensMe, Music Info all are gone after restarting the phone. I updated my phone yesterday and didn't install any app like task manager, cleaner etc.

Could you try making a repair of the phones software in PC Companion and see if that helps? Please try creating playlists and restart the phone before you restore any backup or install any apps.

Do you have an SD-card in the phone and if so, does this happen if you remove it?

no i do not have any task manager or anything else installed.

The playlist remains created but their data is gone. i was having the same prolem before the update also.

Whereas the loss of homescreen icons of apps installed on internal storage is new.

It's happened to me right after the phone updated to 4.2 jb,the problem just exactly same as raj guy above but never before i face such problem over previous firmware,and since someone's here stated that she got same problem right after she got into 4.2 and do nothing to her phone(same goes for me) i assume that this happened because the latest update? Removing microsd and updating/repairing via pcc doesn't help,tried it,i'm about to flash my phone with another firmware and lets see what will happen..

Hey m getting this problem too all my shortcuts installed on internal SD card are lost + any app installed on internal SD card get rearranged after restart and I have to arrange deem again in my own way

It also happens to me, shortcuts vanish after a phone restart.

Only happens after the new update to 4.2.2

i sent you pm already,just forgot to tell i've tried several 4.2 firmware,some from india,other's world version,and this problem always occur for me,and factory reset on each firmware will do nothing at all

as for sony,i truly expect stable firmware for this phone,forget the latest android version,thats what we already prepared for,4.3 would be great,but 4.2 will be just fine,as long as it's nicely worked

I have the same problem.

I make a playlist and save it.

When I turn OFF the phone, then turn it ON again, the playlist that I've saved has zero item.

There are no songs listed in it.

I've already updated, but this still happens.

Hope this would be fixed.

This happens to me but resolved after REPAIR.

I read that you had repaired the phone even though the issue occurs.

I suggest you take backup of your data, then repair your phone with PC Companion(updated).

Once it is updated do not restore your backup immediately.

After phone is updated and restarted, you test your phone by creating shortcuts, playlists..etc.,

Because, restoring or manually copying your backup may contain system files with old configuration of your phone which may be used by the phone.

So, try/test without restoring or manually copying your backup.

Hello.
When I switch off and on Phone Xperia L, icons of applications stored in internal storage are missing. These apps. fortunately works correctly. This began after update to Android 4.2.2. After update i made factory reset. Also IS not possible to move data to sd card through "Settings".

IS There anybody Who know some solution?

I have received information that our developers have found the cause for this issue and it will be fixed in an update of the phones software. I don't have any information on when the update will be available though.
