Xperia L does not support USB-OTG. However some models support the USB-host standard (like Xperia S), which allows you to connect USB devices to your phone via a USB Host cable/adapter.

I just tested this with the Xperia L and it didn't seem to work.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this shortsurvey.

Do not say that OTG will not work at all! Xperia M yes, and Xperia L have not?

Yeah my bro's Xperia M could do OTG. The Xperia L sadly cannot, apparantly due to power issues it is disabled. There is a work around which is not much 'on the go'. Hopefully Sony implement it in the future.

I did it for myself to solve this.
XPERIA L + OTG cable -> USB HUB + FLASH DISC <- EXTERNAL BATTERY

It is functional but impractical.

It's not easy you have to have root rights.
You have to install one application that requires superuser rights.
If you have root so I advise.
