problems with download manager app after updating to android 4.2.2

since I upgraded the android verssion of my sony xperia l to 4.2.2 it stopped downloading or apdating apps

now I used my computer to upgrade the system 15.3.A.1.12

the same problem still exists

I don't know what to do

What do you mean by it stopped downloading?Where are you trying to download from?

from google play

It wouldn't even update the built in apps

Try to clear data for google play in settings-apps-all,force stop and start again.

ok did that and restarted the device and now I'm trying to download an app and see what will happen

but in case the problem presisted should I uninstall the updates of the google play app

please nots that in order to update the android software I used my computer pecause the device does not download any thing

so I think the problem is not the google play app

it's the download mannager itself

Yes,you could try removing updates for google play,or another option could be reinstalling current software with sony update service.

You have download manager app,try force close,clear data and cache.

Download manager can be found in settings-apps-all.See how it goes.

sony makes us fell very dissapointed...most of devices that costs from 150- 300 euros have many problems...we are very tired with this situation and all the non fuction updates....after sony ericsson glory days now the company is very careful only with the expensive xperia phones......they must improve the logismics of the phones and must be more responsible with the customers or else sony will loose in the global market

my download manager is not stopping. It constantly shows that files are downloading even when am offline. will clearing data delete all my phone contacts? please fix this issue!
