I just tried to update via PC Companion but after downloading it started to prepare the files and then I got this error.

Charge your phone for 30min then repeat the process but with SUS

Update Service (SUS)

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)

I think it's a connection problem. Sometimes Google Chrome prevents PC Companion to connect internet. You can try it after removing Google Chrome from your PC.

i think you re missing Sony Update Engine , google it and download SUE ,it may help . i have the same problem but not anymore when i downloaded SUE. good luck.

At last i successfully updated my phone two days back. It was Sony server error.

i updated my phone with the newest software, and now it reboots every 30 seconds!!!

but it seems like i can't connect my phone to my computer using the usb cable , it doesn't connect / recognize the phone

Neither PC companion,nor Sony update service?Have you tried force restart?(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).

i am trying the update service at the moment it is downloading software, if this doesn't work i will try the forcce restart, wich btw i didn't even know that was even possible 😛

Xperia L c2104 shows "could not install" with OTA download. With PC companion the update is not being rolled yet. However in build version of the phone it shows 15.a.1.12 I'm really confused about what to do.

It seems like I had the same error (but was updating through Sony Bridge for Mac). Force restart didn't help, charging for 30 minutes didn't help either. Sony Bridge now doesn't recognise my phone as a phone and all I can on my phone screen is SONY logo.

Any tips?

Power button+vol up until the phone vibrates 3 times should shut down the phone,if you connect to mac via sony bridge,it cannot see the phone?

This update is already on air and you need not try thru' computer. all u got to do is go to the settings menu then click "About phone" will take you to the software update section. Click it and downoad it. Please note that you should have a internet connection to try this.

My suggestion would be to wait for 15.3.A.1.14. it should be available over the air shortly as it is already available via SUS.
