Xperia L, MicroSd, Micro SD class UHS -I U1 or class 10?

This is my first post, so Hello Sony!

I wish to buy a microsdhc (microSD) card with the maximum size of 32Gb for xperia L(C2105), as I understand that the maximum memory card will be only 32 Gb and no more, but regarding class I have not found any specification, please help me chosing the right one that can take advantage of and will be compatibile and stable, as I don't wish for the card to be "burned/damaged", not reconized by the device, or the quickly depleting of the battery.

I generally wish to buy a UHS-I / Class (U1) or should I buy a Class 10?

I think class 10 will be just fine for what you need.I suggest going for Sandisk or Sony,they seem to work best in Xperias.

You can use any speed class(2, 4, 6, 10, and UHS) the SD-card will still be compatible with your Xperia L.

But will the phone take some advantage of using UHS -I U1 over Class 10 or the other way around (viceversa)?

Or is the same thing "from the phone point of view (and not computer/pc)" if it is a UHS U1 or is a Class 10?

Unfortunately, there are no specifications how fast the phone can read or write. But in general, a SD-card with a higher speed class should function faster.

Okay, so regarding speed an UHS class will be better.

But what about Battery drain? Which one will drain the battery faster, a class 10 or an UHS?

- There is an relation of Watts = mAh X Volts

- The cards / class have different mhz clocks. Some of cards go at 50 Mhz, some at 100 Mhz, and some 200 Mhz, so the clock could impact the battery life.

" UHS104 (SDR104) also support a clock frequency of 208 MHz "

Which one will drain battery faster, a UHS-I or a Class 10?

It may differ from SD-card to SD-card but it's such a small amount which you almost will not notice.

I have read Discussions guidelines, they are fine.

I may be new on the forum but I have been using Sony and Ericsson phones since 1996 year ( Ericsson GH688 was my first cellphone). And at that time it was awsome :smileysmileywink: xd
