Google Play Store error: 'Connection Timed Out - Retry'

Hello!

I have used my Xperia L for almost a year now. But, a few days ago I have encountered a problem of having an error saying 'Connection Timed Out' whenever I try to open Google Play Store app. I keep retrying and it never opens.

I checked my internet connection, it is fine in some cases. But when I try to check the internet speed using SpeedTest app, it gives me this.

I usually share the phone's internet connection through wifi hotspot. It also works fine having a reasonable speed according to my country.

Please help me to fix this problem.

Settings-apps-all-google play app,force stop and clear data. Try to log in again.

Hi,

Do you have the possibility to connect the phone to a Wi-Fi network to see if you experience the same behaviour? You can also go to Settings > More... > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Tap your internet APN > If Proxy/Port is set, remove them and restart the phone and try again.
