Sound not working

My phone is less than one month old and the sound has stopped working. It's not ringing when I get a call, not working for email notifications or text messages. I have checked all the settings but all are normal. Any ideas?

Hi @bedsitdiary, sorry to hear about this.

To make sure that a downloaded application isn't the cause of this, try rebooting your phone in safe mode and run the Diagnostics test again for the loud speaker.

If the test fails in safe mode as well, try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data stored on the internal storage of the device so it's important that you create a backup using Xperia Companion.
