Sony Xperia M5 - Main Microphone Issue w/ Apps

Hello,

My main microphone is not working in calls and applications, such as Instagram and Snapchat. During calls, I have to use audio speaker so that I am heard by the caller. My secondary microphone works when I film videos. My microphone works on Instagram sometimes when I uninstall and reinstall it, however the microphone stops working again. When I try to use Diagnostics, it crashes and says "Unfortunately, Support has stopped." This problem has been persisting for months, I would very much appreciate it if someone could give me a solution, as the problem is urgent.

My build version is: E5603

Android version: 6.0 Marshmellow

Hi @TPhina, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about this.

Can you please test your device in safe mode and see if the same thing happens? It could be the third party apps causing the problem.

Hi i've tried the safe mode but it didn't work as well. Any other diagnostics you can recommend?
