I just inserted my SIM once and did nothing on it. At this stage can I update my software to 4.0.x using PC Companion without a SIM inserted on it. If any problem occurs during an update, can I recover my phone? Because once I heard that nokia mobiles became useless if it failed while updating. I don't know weather it is true or not. That's why I never updated my earlier phone.
