Xperia:Global warranty?

Why doesn't sony give global warranty?... I recently bought Xperia Sola and just came to know that it doesn't give global warranty!!....And now I cant even get my cell phone repaired by paying!...Seriously....help me out.I obviously can't go to some other country for getting my phone repaired.

indeed Sony doesn't offer this, they should, what's wrong with your phone? contact Sony customer service in the country that you purchased the phone from, you might be able to send it to them

I was having serious network issues and they said no support for out of country phones!....i could try sending it to the seller who i purchased it from but that would take a lot of time..so i really don't wanna do that.

I found this out the hard way too. bought my sola in germany, but couldn't get it fixed in the netherlands. and sony's international helpdesk and sony service in the netherlands have contradicting stories... sony netherlands said the only way was to get a dutch retailer to submit it to sony. of course no retailer will do that, as I did not buy the phone from them. disappointing experience.

in the end, I sent it back to germany. cost me more, but I finally got it fixed.

Devices are not cheap, global warranty is vital and also it can attract customers. Apple did this and leads the field. Sony that is nice idea! Sometimes people are afraid of Xperia devices because of that.
