How to stop auto starting?

hi, may i noe how to stop the auto starting of signing into facebook and skype? since i have to pay for the data use, so i nid to stop all auto starting. can anyone tell me what shud i do?

Hi,

My suggestion would be to log out of the applications once you are finished using them by pressing the Menu key and selecting the options "Log out" for Facebook and "Sign out" for Skype. However, please keep in mind that you will have to re-enter your accounts' information each time you log in to the applications.

One way I got Skype to stop running unless I wanted to was to move the application to the SD card and Force Stop it.

erm, then may i know how to stop the automatically update of apps too? cox i would prefer to have manually update those app instead or automatically update...

You will need to choose for each app you have downloaded if you allow automatic updating.

To do that, open the Market app. Once the market app is opened, press the settings key on your phone to bring up the settings menu.

Then select My Apps. A list of all the apps you downloaded is presented.

Now select an app, just say Skype for example.

Once selected, you will see a tick box option to allow automatic updating. Untick it if it is ticked.

Note, actually whenever you are downloading an app for the first time, this option is also there. It is just that you may not have noticed it.
