Hello!

I've got a Sony Xperia T phone, I have it for a year..

But in a two weeks I guess, the phone is giving me an error about no sim card, and than restarting.. And thats for twice a day.

My SIM card is not a cutted version, I've got it from my carrier. The phone is not rooted at all.

Upgraded to Android 4.3.

I've tried to take out the sim card, and than putting it back, but after a day, I've get the error again.

Please help me, this is so annoying, because the restarts drains the battery..

Thanks,

Viktor.

Have you tried booting in safe mode, see if the same occurs?

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

I think you might need a new SIM.

Same here. Factory stock phone. (simlock free)
Sim = not home cutted.
Stock android, not rooted (never tried)
Never had any problems like rebooting etc etc.
After 4.3 update the reboots now and then. Stressed or standby doesn't matter in what state.
You get a vibrate and then a message with sim/UIM removed(or disconnected don't remember). Then you get the message that the phone is shutting down. And then powers up again. Noticed that gsm network state = 0 (red x with the bars).
Don't really think this the sim as the phone works also without one.

I have to come back on what I said before.
My message:
SIM/USIM removed, turning of phone/rebooting phone(one of those 2.
I then removed my sim and no problems occurred so far. Running without any problems now for about 12hrs straight.
Only thing I can't do now is calling someone or receiving any calls(and that's the main purpose of having a phone).
And tbh this "SIM removed" error shows some eary similarities as how my class 10 32gb microSDHC uhs-1 card came to an early end of his life 😕

I am having the same problem! These phones are so unreliable!! I want my money back sony. From dying while charging, from re-boots, from now SIM card not working, from flickering screen, from garbage phone. Please contact me so I can get my $400 back.

Edit: This problem might be the SIM card actually. I took a pencil and put some graphiteon the scratched up parts of the sim card (from where the little sensor touch it it looses some of that gold color) and now it is working. So I ordered a new sim card. Lets see what happens when I get the new one.

Still too many problems overall.

Yeah I can relate to how crap these phones are. I wanted an iPhone, but was talked into a Sony. It's been sent away to be fixed for not charging up. Now it's come back and, won't read the sim card!! I've used the soft reboot. Took card out. Turned off and on. Nothing works. My phone is also used as a business tool as well!! So frustrating. Sony! sort it out!! :@

I'm having exactly the same problem. But it can go for weeks without happening. If I have to swith phone off for any reason, it seems to happen after I switch back on. After a few reboots it seems OK. Not good though. Sony need to address this. Switched to Sony after years with Samsung, coz I was getting fed up with all the bloatware on their phones. Anyway, won't be sticking with Sony if they don't sort their act out. Had other issues, and their customer service is awful.

Got this problem 2 .This POS phone doesnt detect nano sim cards (together with adapter)It only works with with pure micro sim card !I belive it is hardware design flaw. Many operators delivers 3 in 1 sim cards and you cant get pure micro sim you can get only nano sim +adapter which this T3 doesnt detect or partially detect !

I've got the same problems with my Z3 it's been repaired 4 times, and now I've got a software actualization and it stopped reading my sim card. Now they tell me I have to send it into repair and wait to know how much is gonna cost, if they keep having the same issues I don't know why I have to pay for the repair.
