Xperia Miro Unfortunately Widgets has stopped

Hi,

I am facing this issue recently when I try to click and widgets -> I am getting an message "Unfortunately widgtes has stopped"

I have flashed the mobile using Sony PC companion since it become slow too. After flashing it worked. But after a day it is not working again.

Is this is a problem with mobile or OS?

Any help?

How to boot the xperia miro in safe mode. Miro has 4.0.4 has the lastest version of the Andriod OS. The link which you have shared shows it is applicable for 4.1 or later. Any suggetsions? Thanks!

No,there is a small line below which tells you how:

Xperia phones using touch menu key running on Android GB (2.3.X) or ICS (4.0.X)

Turn off your phone. Wait a few seconds and then turn it on again. Now during the boot process start tapping the menu key continuously and keep tapping until the phone has booted completely. Not too fast, not too slow. The beat of Iron man by Black Sabbath is just right.

To exit safe mode you simply power off and power on as normal.

I have rebooted the phone in safe mode. I am able to open the widgets in safe mode. I have again restarted the mobile to normal mode. But the same problem persists in the normal mode. Can you please suggest.

Try to repair with SUS,it will erase your data and install a clean firmware:

Hi,

I am facing same kind of issue on same phone. And the widgets are working in SAFE MODE.

Now I was trying to update the Software using SUS. But my phone model (Xperia Miro ST23i) is not aailable to select. Please do the need.

Also I am not able update the software using PC Companion as the software is not downloading of XPeria Miro and its stoping at 4% mark while downloading.

Please help me with SUS or PC Companion.

Run SUS in compatibility mode with windows 7,it should show all models.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion with Troubleshoot Compatibilty option on Windows 8 and I got the option of Xperia Miro.

But while downloading the software of Xperia Miro the Download has failed saying the mobile battery is not fully charged even though my mobile battery is fully charged at 100%.

Please suggest me.

You should try on another PC with windows 7.Or simply retry the operation on windows 8.

Hi Alexdon,

Thanks for your through out help.

I tried 'Factory Data Reset' on my mobile and guess what ? It worked for me, Widgets are shown flawlessly.

But when I install all the Apps back again, I faced the same issue of 'Unforunately, Widgets has been stopped'.

So I tried installing/ uninstalling one one app and see weather the Error exists.

And finally i found that the Error was causing because of Avast antivirals latest update. And I simply downgrade Avast to previous version. And now everything is working fine now.

Antiviruses kind of do what they want on your device,that is why I keep away from them.

So you will suggest me to Uninstall the Antivirus ? I that harmfull for my mobile ? Is really Viruses affects Android mobile as they built on Linux OS ?

If you are downloading from google play only,there should not be any problem.You could have anti malware,but nothing more.

If you have antivirus installed, then you might not have to proceed to the OS RESET. Just uninstall those antivirus such as A-----.!
