red light flashing and doesn't charge

Hi!

I have a problem with my sony xperia J. Yesterday was working perfectly but suddently my phone turn off. It was with a %32 battery and turn off. I left it charging and the phone turn on right. But today when i woke up, it didn't work. I put it charging and appears a red light flashing on top of the screen in the left. I can't turn it on. The computer doesn't recognise it. Help me please

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

Hi gontxxx,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Try holding down the Power button and the Volume Up button for around 15 seconds, once this has been done plug the charge cable in to the handset and let is charge for around an hour.

Once done, try powering on the device.

Let us know how you get.

ok my phone is sony xperia miro st23i when i removed the sim card on it and transfer to another phone then i turn on xperia but it wont start up i tried to charge it because i think i just drained it but after hours i unplug the phone then i turn on again but still not turning on and the blinking led its not blinkingi tried to connect to my pc my pc cant detect my phone plz help me with this problem

I also have this problem and would like to fix it.

The red light flashes or a bit, then disappears.

I want to get it started so I can access my contacts at least.

I also want to keep all my pictures and videos.
