White patch coming in the extreme ends of the screen??

I am not sure how to explaing this

When we go into settings for xperia neo/arc (did not check in any other models) there is a white patch that is coming once we reach the top/bottom end of the menu i.e when you scroll down and keep holding till the top or bottom.. I was a bit releived when i identified that this was also seen on the arc.. so my question is :

Is it as per design? If so y ?

It seems like the screen is having some issue when that white patch is coming...

If you are not able to identify what i am saying i hope i can upload a pic..

Any suggestion is highly appreciated..

no its the design, no worries

it tells u that u cant scroll more up or down..

its normal

also..when u exit from the menu and return to the main homescreen..

u'll see a marquee type of thing above the 4 default icons..

i mean there will be a white light goin from left to right..

sony sure has done everything even small things like this to enhance the styling
