3G Internet nor working and unable to repair

Today my phone crashed while in skype session and I had to restart it as it became totally unresponsive. After that it stopped connecting to internet via 3G. There's no problem with wi-fi although. I tried multiply restarting it. Tried downloading Internet settings. And nothing works. I also tried repairing it with pc companion (latest version) via support zone and it gave me "UNABLE TO INSTALL OR START PHONE SOFTWARE UPDATE COMPONENENTS". Need some help here asap as I don't use wi-fi often. Mostly 3G.

contact your network provider, there might be an issue w/ 3G

also

settings -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> network mode try all 3

I already tried everything you mentioned and everything was fine with my provider and the settings you mentioned didn't help.

try Update Service (SEUS)

In regards to performing the update via PC Companion do the following to resolve the error message,

1. Close PC Companion

2. Install java from http://www.java.com/winoffline_installer

3. Start PC Companion again and try to do the SW Update of the phone.

first try this..

go to settings > wireles and networks > mobile networks > operators..

it will search..

after searching make sure your operator has a 3g sign..

i mean there are two listed there.. one with 2g and one with 3g..

for example if you have vodafone ,

select 3g vodafone...

and not 2g vodafone..

sometimes it automatically switches to 2g network thats why you are not abla to surf 3g..
