HD picture breakup with SVR-HDT1000

I have always had this problem with my SVR HD T1000 but have worked around it

Now I would like to know why it exists and is there anything I can do about it

When viewing the HD channels via the SVR - the picture is horribe - all broken up

If I plug the aerial directly into the back ofthe TV - no problems

If I leave the aerial connected via the PVR but select TV rather than HDMI 1 ( connection point for the PVR) - again no problem

Any suggestions - or do I throw it away and get a Humax ???
