touch screen not responsive at all

Hi - I have the XA and recently it 'may have been dropped' - (daughter wont admit!) however since then the touch screen is totally unresponsive (is in a protective case) Using the controls on the side I can do volume / the power off/screenshot image etc but cannot actually do anything as the touchscreen isnt working. No obvious signs of damage ie cracked screen. I allowed it to run out of power and when I charged it same problem persisted and back of pack got very warm.

Any help appreicated , or does it need sending off for repair? Thanks.

have you tried safe mode? you can navigate the screen using an usb OTG device. like a mouse..

if it still doesn't work, you can try to save as much as data you can, then send your device to your local service center Local support

It sounds like an hardware issue, however you may have a software overlay that is blocking the display..

So now, the problem is if the display is totally unresponsive you won't be able to access safe mode easily.. Do you have a USB mouse and an adapter from USB to micro USB.. You will be able to control your phone with it...

Safe mode made no difference - couldnt access any data but its now at repair centre - thankfully I hadnt had it long so not going to lose too much stuff!!
