Sony XA Ultra keeps freezing after being turned on

I cannot seem to find any information about this problem so I'm trying to see if anyone can help me.

My XA Ultra will freeze on my home screen after about 1 minute - the screen will become unresponsive, it will stick,and I can't power the phone off normally (I either have to leave it until it randomly boots off or do a forced restart).

No matter how many times I do a soft reboot (battery pull) it will freeze after 1 minute. It is not stuck in a boot loop and I can power it on just fine. The phone is also not charging when it shuts off after freezing if that matters.

I have tried booting into safemode, but, the screen is frozen even in safemode and thus I cannot even try to remove any apps that may be causing this.

Recap:

- phone freezes after starting (i can open apps and scroll fine for just 1 minute before it freezes)

- can't be powered off normally (doesnt even respond to soft reboot)

- frozen even in safemode

- soft reboot battery pull does nothing to help

HELP ME!!!
