Can you elaborate more what did you mean by your "Xperia account"? And what are the apps that are not syncing properly?

Xperia account is not being used to sync anything, Sony moved to using Google accounts for syncing their apps (like Lifelog, Xperia keyboard, etc.).

In short, there's nothing wrong with your phone if your Google account is syncing properly.

Yes! If it is released to your phone, you will get it.

You can connect your phone to a PC/Mac with Xperia Companion installed on it to check for updates. Or go to Settings -> About phone -> Software updates.
