The status bar no longer works correctly

After updating the phones software last week the status bar no longer drops down to read new notifications but is frozen at the top. How do get it to work correctly? The phone is barely two months old

Welcome to the community!

I'm so sorry to hear about your Xperia XZ.

Is it just the top part of the display that isn't working? If that is the case I would advise you to test the touchscreen in your device, something that is done under Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Touchscreen. You will here be prompted to clear the "mist" from the display. Are you able to clear the top part in the test?

If the top part of the display responds to touch and it's just notifications that do not work, was it after something specific that this started? Is there any change if you reboot your phone to safe mode? That way we can rule out one of your downloaded apps being behind this.

Problem has not been solved even after the safe mode reboot
