am i the only one with the screen dimming issue

i've seen noone mention this anywhere, my screen dims when it's outside of specific apps, when i open google photos it goes bright then when i exit out of google photos the brightness lowers even moving my finger on the gesture button and letting go causes the dimming, it's only a certain apps like youtube or google photos that has the full brightness while the screen is overall dimmer, am i the only one with this issue can someone try to open google photos on their x1 and tell me if the screen goes brighter.

Did you turn of Adaptive brightness in Settings?

it is possible that google fotos has a max brighness setting?

same hear.... I'm guessing some and and apps utilise full 650 Nits brightness while others including home screen etc dont ...it's shame as at 650 Nits brightness sceen is stunning.....at lower brightness it's average..... and possibly train I will not keep..... next to impossible to take pictures outside as you can't see screen...... shame Sony.... you could have had a winner
