The Xperia 1 does not support moving apps to the SD card or merging the SD card with the internal storage (this was never added to Xperia devices in general when it became available in Android 6.0).

Just as @RottenFoxBreath mentioned, you can still store media, photos and videos on the SD card and most applications that I use for music, podcasts, movies and TV shows can also store the downloaded content on my SD card.

If you have a lot of that content in your device, check the settings inside the applications that you use to see if such an option is available for the applications that you use as this can free up quite a lot of storage from the internal storage (for me it's around 30 GB).
