Hi,

I'm curious to know why despite having auto update turned on on my Facebook app that it's still stuck on the older layout with the blue borders and not the newer more white version that I have on both my other android devices that are still running on oreo?

I also have a friend with android pie on her Huaweii phone and this also has the newer Facebook layout.

Is this the same on all xperia 1 phones or does anyone have the newer layout?

I've disabled the app, reset it to the factory version and updated the app again but it's still the same.

It's not a problem as I actually prefer the look of the older layout but I'm just curious to know what is causing this.

For anyone interested, the latest update in the last couple of hours has given me the new look layout!

Yeah, Facebook updates in 2 areas, the Play Store and also through its app manager, out with the Play Store.

Hi @Carloback295, that is very good news!

I'm not quite sure how the updates in the Google Play store really works when it comes to availability (you can also update the Facebook application via the actual application), but I remember that my friends had a dark theme in an application that we use to transfer money between phone numbers and I had to wait 3 weeks until I received it. We all used the same phone model as well.

To me it sounds like updates are released in waves, but I don't have a good answer to why certain users gets an update before others do.
