There are many ways to do so.

You can use the built-in file manager called files.

I prefer Total Commander, but there are many ore file managers.

A tip:

Install Files from Google.

It's not meant for copying but it's an app that helps you keep your storage clean.

To be noticed:

Since Android 10 the time stamp of copied files will stay the same.

Up till Android Q the time stap was changed from the original to the time of copying.

It took Google quite a few years to have that repaired.
