Play bluetooth from Sony HiFI to headphones

Hello

I was wondering if it is possible to output my Sony HIFI to my Sony WH-1000xm3 via bluetooth. The Sony CMT-SX7 accepts incoming bluetooth fine but is there away to get it play the sound from the TV via an optical cable to the headphones via bluetooth.

Or do you have to buy one of those bluetooth transmitters that fit into the USB port to headphone port to transmit the output?

Hi Pauldcr,

The Bluetooth function in the CMT-SX7 is meant to allow it to connect to audio sources as opposed to being the audio source.

Hello @Pauldcr,

if your audio system has a headphones output (3.5 or 6.3mm) you can purchase a dongle which converts the audio signal into bluetooth.

They are rather cheap on amazon or ebay.
