Battery Power up problem

Hi All

I have a DSC-W370 Cybershot.

On power up - out of ten times it comes up with a screen message 'for use with a compatible battery only'

I am useing the same battery that was purchased when new.

Its relevent to say that I have had this problem for over a year now and have been just lazy to try and find out a solution.

Any Advise - Cheers

It may help if you reset the camera back to its factory settings (aside from this, if you have also tried removing dust and debris from the cleaning department already then there may be an actual physical fault within the camera or battery).

To reset the DSC-W370, remove the battery from the compartment and then hold the power button down for 15 seconds or so. Then, re-insert the battery. If this doesn't help the problem, then a physical fault with the camera/battery is more likely.
