Hx400v flash sync and my metz 45ct-5 flash

Hi,

I have my metz 45ct-5 flash from my wedding photo kit. Can I se this on the hx400v? If so what is the flash sync speed?

When I used it for weddings on my Hasselblads I didn't have to worry as the camera would sync at any shutter speed.

There is some guidance for using an external flash in the manual for your camera here but you would need to do a further check into the compatibility of the Metz. I found a similar discussion here, it's not for the same camera but might offer some useful information.

Thanks for the advice and the links. I'm just a little worried about the voltage at the end of the sync cord

might fry my camera's circuits. Also I would have to use it with a hotshoe adapter as there isn't a flash

socket on the camera itself.

If anyone knows anything about this, I would be greatful for the advice.
