cannot download video shots from dsc-hx1 camera to PC

Hi All,

I have a dsc-hx1

I have previously been downloading both still and video shot without problem

Now I can only download stills

I have tried it both on XP ( my regular os ) and also on Win 7 but to no avail.

I have just reinstalled the PBS ( a number of times-- no change.

I have also tried to download with a new " camera - PC cable " - no change.

Unfortunately, to me, this p[oints to a problem within the camera.

Question

Is this a common symptom for this camera

Is it time to send to Sony for repair.

Have you tried using an accessory card reader? They're cheap and easy to find and often sidestep camera connection issues.
