According to the Sony Support website for my camera the firmware is up-to-date. Incidentally where can I find details of the firmware version on my camera? My problem may be because macOS Mojave v10.14, is not yet compatible with PlayMemories.

Every time I try to connect my newly acquired DSC-HX90V to PlayMemories on my iMac the programme freezes and blocks access to my wirelss mouse and keyboard. I connect using the supplied USB cable attached to the port on the top right hand side of the camera (with the lens pointing away from you). What do I need to do to resolve this?

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your suggestion. I have checked the Sony UK support site and it would seem the firmware for my camera is up-to-date. I was experiencing the problem with Mac OS for High Sierra but upgrading to macOS Mojave does not seem to have improved matters. In fact, when I open Play Memories Home on my iMac I now get a message saying the program is not yet compatible with the new macOS Mojave. I am almost certain I am doing something wrong, but I have yet to work out precisely where I am going astray!

Thanks again,

John

Hi KoTszMing,

I guess you are right, the app might not be compatible with the Mojave 10.14 as it shows here the recommended computer environment 10.12 - 10.13, you can find this info in this link: http://clc.to/S40zWw.

Cheers,

Almou_10
