cannot login to playmobile on camera - spinning wheel only

I have a Sony Bridge camera. Tried to logon to the playmobiles app (on the camera) just see a static wheel - cannot login at all. I've had this on my other camera, never worked it out and just never used the functionality. I suspect it has something to do with the Captcha check - it doesn't show on the camera screens.

Does anyone have any illuminating ideas - if someone from Sony could reply I'd be very impressed.

btw - I can logon via a web browser so I know my account is fine, and I have reset the camera and tried changing the password
