It's not entirely different to the challenges of shooting with a 19th century glass plate camera... which is why photographers used a black cloth.</P><P style=";"><BR /></P><P style=";">Fortunately the screen on a modern compact is illuminated and it should be enough to postion yourself such that the sun doesn't strike the screen.<BR type="_moz" /></P><P style=";"><BR /></P><P style=";">The best way is to keep the sun to the side, rather than directly behind.
