topic DCR-SR 72E, can be used as webcam? in Camcorders

Hello qlik.sony - welcome to the Sony Forums.

Trying to get your Handycam to function as a webcam can be a little 'hit and miss' and so I would always advise buying a seperate webcam instead. Even the ones that cost £5 - £10 produce reasonable results. It can be more difficult to mount a full size camcorder on your monitor or laptop as well.

Thanks

Simon

If you were keen to use your camera rather than a webcam, there are a number of tutorials and help sites around that might guide you through the process.

I just posted this link on a similar thread; might give you an idea what's involved:

How to Use Your Camcorder as a Webcam

Cheers

Mick
