Hi,

I am trying to connect my Sony DCR-IP7E to my Windows 10 via the I.LINK (DV) OUTPUT to USB on the laptop. The laptop Device Manager can't find the Sony Handycam driver. Can't find Windows 10 drivers on the Sony site. Any ideas?

No adapters FireWire (i.LINK or IEEE1394) to USB works...

You have to find a PC with FireWire IN, or a Mac with FireWire (or Thunderbolt / USB-C with FireWire adapters).

Or you have to buy an external FireWire Card (USB or Express Card).
