I have an old ccd-tr411e im trying to playback tapes however I have lost the av cable, I ordered one of amazon but it has three connectors at each end instead of the 2 needed for my model. I have tried using this and the video works but there is no sound.

Please can anyone tell me how i can get the sound to work? and if I need a new cable what I need to ask for and where I might get it. Many Thanks

Hi Foxdog and welcome.

It should work OK if you just use two of the three connectors - just ignore the white plugs at both ends.

The cable you have is for stereo sound but your camera only produces mono sound. It should work but if you are playing back on a stereo device you will only produce sound on one channel - right or left.

What inputs does your display have?
