HDR CX-240 losing its settings after battery swap

Hi folks - I've got 20 of these little camcorders and one of them has decided to 'go rogue' on me.

If I take out the battery, then reinsert it, the camera loses its settings - date/time/quality etc.

I'm guessing the 240 uses an internal, backup battery to hold these settings, and this one has expired.

Can they be replaced at home? What's the procedure?

There is an internal Backup Battery, but for its replacement I am afraid you will have to contact an Authorized Service Center.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. All the cameras are well out of warranty and I'm handy with a screwdriver and soldering iron. Or is the battery some Sony (impossible to obtain?) one, I wonder.
