i have an old handy cam that does not (for years!) format the mini discs anymore - wondering if anyone out there has a working one or knows of a company that could carry this out - I have a lot of discs which I think contain old films but I can’t view them without the format function 🤷🏻‍♂️ any ideas welcome

Hi thanks for helping but the handycam itself is the problem it is no longer functioning and therefore I can’t format any old discs although I can play formatted discs on a standard dvd player

welcome to the Sony User Community..

I have never used such a service, so wouldn’t know who to recommend but if you do a search for companies that can convert or transfer Mini Discs , you will hopefully find a company that can help..

I think what I’m really looking for is access to a working handycam - that way I can format and finalise the collection of discs I have - those that I had not processed this way won’t play and therefore can’t be converted anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️
