Sony selling Vaio - what about warranties?

Given Sony's decision to sell their Vaio computers & laptops business to JIP, how can those of us foolish enough to have just ordered one, have any confidence that Sony's warranties will be honoured? Not least since JIP are a financial buy-out company, not one with any history of product support.
