I have a Sony HD EG5 locked,how to unlock?

i have a Sony HD EG5 (1 Terabyte),i have locked my 500gb data on that through password protection manager,but right now am unable to unlock that,whenever i click on the icon it runs and then disappears. Also tried to re-install the password protection manager but unable to select any directory to install (as it shows no option at all in hte dropdown list).

Desperately need help !!

I can't think of another solution to this issue other than trying to format the hard drive which could resolve the issue.
