Vaio update: Important notification for the Sony Vaio F11 and CW2 series

Hi,

Whenever I run Vaio update, it comes with the message "Important Notification for the Sony VAIO F11 and CW2 series".

When I click on the message, only a browser window is opened showing the standard Sony support hub page where I can select a language/country (http://www.sony.co.uk/support/hub/sony_europe.html).

Nothing happens after this.

I remember that Sony once released a BIOS update for the F11 model to solve a temperature control issue.

But my Vaio was just repared by Sony after a HDD defect, and is now running BIOS version R0300Y6 which

is the latest release for the F11 series (i believe).

Any ideas on how I can remove the message in Vaio update?

As your Vaio has just been repaired, you can report this to Vaio Support and see if they have any advice.

Personally, as it is only 'Info' and does not affect the 'Search for Updates' personally, I would just ignore it.
