Slow in games,- how come? [:-/]

What the.... , hate it.
I try to run some of these games(Medieval2 Demo, Gothica 3 Demo) just to see the quality and speed of my laptop and my laptop gives me a slideshow.
What gives?

VGN-FE31H
Core 2 Duo T5500 (1.66Ghz each)
1Gb/Go DDR2 SDRAM
GeForce Go 7400 with turbo cash 256Mb
2 months old
dont have any installed rubish on it

I have FE21B with the same configuration as you have. if you mean Gothic 3 , I have also installed that one but only because I wanted to try how much does it lag Whole Gothic series is bugged and not optimized for anything else than High end hardware. So the problem is not in your laptop, try World of warcraft on highest res., highest details, highest antialias.... Your laptop shouldnt have problem to handle that. Also try NFS carbon and you ll see you have good machine for playing games.

I even tried that new Splinter Cell double Agent damn I couldnt believe the lags I had.I'm pretty sure it shouldnt be like that.
I whack Blizzard games for their prehistoric visuals.
However I had tried it I gotta admit that and it was as smooth as it possibly could be. Although after 5 hours of playing of it my neck got broke in few places and I received a severe brain damage, so I deleted it.

Hmm I havent tried Splinter cell but I also think that Fe series with Nvidia 7400 with turbocache isnt as good gaming machine as some Alienware pieces for example. They are good enough for playing most games anyway. Isnt your computer's performance slowed down by some other software ? /antivirus/ ?... (Norton sux )

Well I suggest only to try some other antivirus... AOL antivirus shield for example which free , you only need to register at aol website to get activation code... mby after trying something else you ll realize that norton was slowing down whole pc,not games only... try this I am sattisfied with this one

Unfortunately GeForce 7400 is not top range graphic card, so you won't be able to play newest games ;(

Yaiks I didnt realize that my video card was so crap, but it was on of the top cards on vaio laptops ( at least 2 months ago)

Just ran the 3dMark test and got 503 score lol , which is almost at the bottom of the result scale 😞

No man its not as bad as with intel graphics that is almost on all other laptops that are so called "business laptops" or any that are just smaller well you cant have some SLI inside soo thin case

Ha-ha yeah, you are right mine looks very slim , veery slim.
But I think I'll feed it with one more gig of ram. I didnt actually buy it for gaming but for modelling.

btw 711 points with the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400, 450 MHz / 22 MHz, preinstalled drivers and Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2300 @ 1.66GHz processor...

you have the same one dont you ? I think I make test once more cuz many applications were running in background anyway...
