Bravia tv cant open movie files

I have my bravia tv connected to my router and can access all my photo's wirelessly,from my PC however all movies stored on my PC are recognised and found, but some reason will not open and play.

can anyone help me

could you advise what media server is being used, most PC Media servers will transcode your files to a DNLA generic format, this has to be MPEG for SD video or M2TS for HD, there are not many packages that will stream the native format

Try using PS3 media server on your PC. Worked for me, had to edit one of the config files.
