Thank you. I noticed that it wasn't as clear a distinction between matte and gloss as it is with laptop screens. Ended up getting a 40EX710, and it doesn't appear to be more glossy than my old set.

I have a hard time finding information about this on the Sony site, but I have heard that there are Sony TVs that have matte displays. So my question is if anyone knows which of Sony's 37" and 40" TVs have a matte display?

Hmm - tricky one as its a bit subjective. Some are more glossy and some are more matte, best thing to do would be to check them out in a store in person I think. The EX series might be more suited looking at the one behind me at the moment. Certainly a lot of the higher end models are more glossy.
