Viewing video via a wireless connection

Purchased a Bravia KDL 40NX703 recently and I can access music and photos from my PC with a wireless connection however I cannot see videos

I think they have to be in MPEG2 format so have converted some WMV files to try but I still cannot see them.

I am doing something wrong?

What video server are you using on the PC. I'd try using Twonky or Mezzmo as most people seem to have most luck with those. They will transcode on the fly so you don;t have to re-encode.

Thanks for the info....this is all new to me, but think I am using Windows Media 1.1 - thats what is displayed on the TV when I access it.

You probably are, Windows Media player is usually the default, but its not that great at this kind of task. Do try one of the above transcoders as they are both pretty good, both offering free trials also.
