KDL-42W653 stand issue

I have bought a KDL-42653 TV which is stood on a tv/media unit. I want to buy a HT-CT260 soundbar to put in front of the TV. The problem is that according to the specs the soundbar is too tall and will intrude into the screen area of the TV by about 2 inches. Is there anyway I can higher the TV either by changing the stand that comes with the TV or by any other method?
