I have exactly the same problem. I am hard of hearing and I really need subtitling, but 50% of the time it crashes. Mostly movies. Netflix own programs and series have less problems although it does happen.

Sony fix the problem or my next TV with be a Samsung and might write a product review somewhere.

Hello,

I have a 2013 KD-55X9005A TV, and lately my Netflix app has been starting to crash when playing titles with subtitles turned on. This doesn't happen on all titles, but on most I've tried. The crashes do not occur if the subtitles are off.

I've tried all the usual things (power cord off for one night, updated to latest firmware version, even restored factory settings), but nothing seems to help.

It seems I'm not the only one with these problems, there's at least one subreddit regarding the same issue.

https://www.reddit.com/r/netflix/comments/3nxei8/netflix_crashing_on_sony_smart_tvall/

Any help would be appreciated.

BR, Perttu
