topic Sony Bravia KLD in Other TVs

I’ve had a Sony Bravia KLD for the last 18 years or so. It’s been great - absolutely no issues, except recently it’s started to get stuck in standby mode. If we leave it on standby it just won’t start - we have to unplug it and it’ll start fine after that.

I suspect, given its age, it’s a failing power component…or at least that’s what Google says 😊

I’m keen to cut my electrical waste so would like to keep the TV going, but I’m well aware that it might not be economical viable either.

Question is it easy replace any components on a TV this old (I would like to do myself…but I have no experience)? Are they easy to come by? What would it cost?

Hi @JimboBelly22 What is the full model number, KDL-? The best chance for some spares would be another same TV or the exact Sony part number recovered from the component (Google search).
